Kansai (Osaka Kyoto Nara) Itinerary Check/Advice!!!

Hi everyone! here’s my planned itinerary here and will be looking for feedback! I will be flying in a few days with family friends, open to suggestions to fill in any gaps! Probably need a rest day somewhere too…

**Day 0 (Osaka)**

* Land in Osaka at night and quick dinner then sleep

**Day 1**

* Practically empty idk what to do (probably bunch of shopping)
* Maybe Ferris wheel at night (Minato ward)

**Day 2**

* Kuromon fish market (breakfast)
* Osaka Castle
* Explore Umeda region? or Namba
* Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai, musems? (my friend not a fan tho)
* Dontonbori, Americamura, Shinsaibashi, Don Quijote
* Early Dinner at Umeda (Can’t remove)
* Umeda Sky Building

**Day 3 (Nara half day)**

* Breakfast suggestions (probably near dontonbori)
* Train to Nara
* Nara Park and Deers
* Mochi Pounding
* (Maybe Todai-jii) o*pen to suggestions*
* Return to Osaka
* (Sumiyoshi Taisha) if I have time?
* Shinesekai Dinner
* teamLabs Botanical Garden

**Day 4**

* Universal studios :/
* Any dinner suggestions welcomed

**Day 5 (Kyoto) (Need most help with this one I think)**

* Breakfast suggestions (probably near umeda)
* 8am drive at Fushini Inari Taisha Shrine
* Kiyomizu-dera Temple (if have time)
* Rock Garden temple (forgot the name sorry) (if have time)
* Hokan-Ji Temple (if have time)
* Lunch in Gion district
* Bamboo forrest
* Golden Pavilion (if have time)
* Another sightseeing (if have time)
* Dinner at Nishika Market
* Go back to Osaka

**Day 6 (Leaving Japan)**

* enjoy morning in osaka
* catch flight

ye that’s it, suggestions for places for meals are welcomed!

I have contemplated going Nara on day 2 and make day 3 a chill day

  1. Kyoto will need adjustment for sure. Most of the places are far apart and i would advise to pick an area to visit only. Perhaps you can look up on the temples and see which one you would want to visit? Personally i wouldn’t go to Bamboo forest at all unless you willing to go early to beat the crowd (and slightly out of the way)

    5 days is rather short to squeeze in Nara and especially Kyoto, so i would recommend cutting either one and explore them in a future trip?
