MMoving to Japan

Didn’t go to the city ward office before going home..

I went to Japan with a Working Holiday visa and I got my boyfriend’s parent’s adress for my 在留カード
I needed to come back because some urgent family matter, but didn’t go to the city ward office to announce my moving out
I compeltely forgot is, I sent them an e-mail asking what should I do, but I didn’t receive a reply.
My visa is going to expire in days. Should I do something about it?
