Hello and good day everyone!
I couldn’t stand a chance in purchasing Coldplay’s Tokyo Dome online tickets. All of them had been sold out very quickly.
I am new to Japan and haven’t attended any big concerts ever, so I have several questions as below. Thank you in advance for reading the post.
I am wondering that for shows that have sold out all online tickets, do box offices still sell physical tickets over the counter on the performance day? If they do, then how is the price…?
And, do people usually resell tickets to others at the revenue’s entrance?
Besides, I also heard about “kinken shops” in Tokyo. Do these shops often have resale tickets for concerts of Western artists like Coldplay, Taylor Swift, etc? How likely is it to find one there near the day of the concert…?
Has anyone had experience about this, please do share with me.
P.S: I am also looking to purchase resale tickets to Coldplay’s Tokyo Dome on Nov 6th if anyone’s interested in selling.
Thank you, and sorry for a long post.

Several times I just bought tickets from scalpers, but that was in the days of paper tickets (an example being 4th row tickets for Metallica for Â¥2000 [because I waited until the first number had begun]). I haven’t been to a concert without having bought a ticket myself for a while, though, so I don’t know if you can still do that.
Tokyo Dome is a horrible place to see entertainment except baseball imho, There’s places to find tickets everywhere. Yahoo auction is another option but you’re going to pay through the nose.
You won’t see scalpers at stadiums anymore, definitely not for concerts.
[https://www.ticket.co.jp/](https://www.ticket.co.jp/) is a reliable place to buy resale tickets
It’s now illegal to resell tickets for over face value. Original ticket sellers like eplus and pia have their own resell sites. People who can’t go anymore, or don’t want their tix anymore can put them up for sale there at face value. Pia gets 10% and the original owner of the ticket get 90% of their money back. Check those sites after the tickets are released to the purchasers
