  2. Depends where the forest is, but some standout ones would be boars, bears, snakes. Also some of the smaller mini beasts such as giant hornets and ticks etc. A quick google search will fill in the rest

  3. The question is less “Will I get eaten by a bear” and more “Can I even go into the forest ***at all***?”

    There’s no “Right to Roam” in Japan, and the vast majority of forest areas are private property. So you should probably worry less about the wildlife and more about getting arrested for trespassing.

  4. There are bears, bours, and snakes so you should worry, unless you’re walking through a crowded hiking trail.
