Hey all,
i’m a 30 year old female and travelling to Japan in September for the first time. I have the following itinerary. It’s still a rough draft, however, I’m a bit unsure if I might be overpacking or leaving too much travel time in between – particularly around the Kyoto and Osaka area. I’ll be train-hopping all the way and making use of luggage storage as I explore. I’ don’t want to rush and want to make sure I check out the most iconic spots while also exploring some off the beaten path places. Any advice, tips, or recommendations you’ve got would be super appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
EDIT: I tried to figure out if getting a JR Pass would be a good idea using that daisuki.com calculator. But it wouldn’t let me include all of my planned destinations, like Lake Biwa (Otsu) and Mount Koya. Do you think it’s worth getting a JR Pass for the itinerary below?

Koya-san is better if you stay there. A day trip seems like a waste.
