Help with empty days in Itinerary: 3 weeks/21 days in Japan in late Oct to mid November

Hello! I’ve reached out a couple times and this thread really does help! Me and my husband are going to japan for our honeymoon and we are definitely more of a go with the flow type of travelers with some ‘key things’ to do. I’ve been planning our days and I came across an issue: I have Fukuoka planned but as i was planning our days I didn’t find much to do in Fukuoka! 1. maybe go to Okayama and Kurashiki for 2 days? Okayama is famous for its castle and beautiful garden, and Kurashiki has coined the Japanese Venice, known for the waterways which run through the city. You would be able to find a nice ryokan to stay, they are both around 30 minutes from each other and 1hr 30m max from Hiroshima. If you are not doing onsens in Hakone, you could consider staying in Arima Onsen town in Kobe, and also go to Kobe for a day aswell. If neither of the above interest you, you could consider staying in Izumo (Shimane) for a day or two, which is known for its beautiful landscape and views of the sea of Japan and also housing the oldest shrine in Japan.
