Planning a trip for next year, (first time traveling) and we plan to be in Kyoto/Osaka area for 3 days.
I was curious if this is doable or overcrowded?
I haven’t begun my Tokyo itenerary but I plan on spending the majority of my time there lol
If you have any suggestions, ways to optimize, or ideas to rearrange feel free to let me know! We plan on figuring out food as we go but also wanna try Kobe beef while we are here, so if you have any suggestions by all means.
Day 1:
arrive at Kyoto as early as possible
Nishiki Market for early morning food/breakfast
Higashiyama ward/gion/shopping
Yasaka shrine
Kiyomizu dera
Pontocho for dinner/evening
Day 2:
Arashiyama area
Bamboo Grove (early)
Monkey park
Sagano scenic railway
Hozugawa River boat tour
Tenryuji
Togetsukyo Bridge (if possible)
Saga Toriimoto preserved street (if possible)
Day 3:
Fushimi Inari (full hike early AM)
International manga museum
Nijo Castle
Dotonbori for dinner (really the only stop in Osaka we are making)

Your day 2 is pretty packed but I think as long as you get going nice and early you should be able to do most of it. Everything else is reasonable.
