How do you go about getting a job consultant from outside Japan?

Hi,

I’ve recently had this revelation that maybe I do need professional help in finding a job. They could help me get a job in the field that I want or at the very least find a good eikaiwa for me that wouldn’t make me wonder how I could escape it faster. (I heard a lot of people saying it happens so I am taking that into consideration)

Problem is, I am not sure how any of this works. I am pretty sure there are professionals doing this, but do they offer services for foreigners that don’t have a visa yet?

Also, if anybody knows how would the process be? Is it the biggest financial disaster that I will ever have to face or is it actually pretty affordable? I guess, or at least hope, that I will only have to pay if they manage to get me employed instead of doing it myself. Any other aspects that I should not overlook.

This does not seem like a popular route, so I can’t help but wonder why. I would guess that an experienced person with connections inside the country could help a lot.

Thanks!

Also, if you have any recommendations I would appreciate them. For reference, while I do speak Japanese to a degree, I am talking about English support. N3 is not enough for me to do it all in Japanese.

You’re not going to find a recruiter for eikaiwa work. You have [already been given](https://www.reddit.com/r/teachinginjapan/comments/15j00q6/how_do_you_actually_find_a_small_eikaiwa/) great advice on how to find an eikaiwa.

    >is it actually pretty affordable?

No legitimate recruiter is going to charge ***you***. They make their money on fees from the employer, not the employee.

    >This does not seem like a popular route

What? A huge number of the professionals who move to Japan use recruiters.

Are you looking for eikaiwa work? Or IT work? Because you have a number of posts across Reddit asking for both. Being kinda blunt: You need to stop throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. Spend some time thinking, figure out what you want to do with your life and ***then*** start asking questions about how to move to Japan in that field.
