  1. 1. Color must look bright and natural
    2. Must have no smell whatsoever
    3. Must not weep
    4. Must be firm not mushy (poke it)
    5. Must cut clean
If it does all that, I eat it

  2. If it’s reduced price I would assume that’s because it’s getting too old and they need to sell it. Sounds unappetizing to me.

  3. Stores will normally only reduce price on old seafood like that. So the answer is hell no.

  4. Since this is UK, first is it Scottish farmed salmon? As that actually is supposed to be safe raw. Secondly, it’s reduced so it will be today sell by date, so although it will be ok, it’s not going to be at it’s best/freshest. Lastly, it’s Waitrose so it will be good quality, and I personally would trust it more then if it was a Tesco or aldi.

  5. Am I the only one seeing that it expires today? Absolutely not . Throw it in a pan with butter if anything at all.

  6. No it’s not better to use Lox or smoked salmon don’t risk using this salmon please
