Parent and kid learn Japanese together?

I have a somewhat unusual question. My 6 year old son expressed desire to learn Japanese. He is fascinated by Pokemons and bullet trains and that’s likely one of the motivating factors. For what it’s worth I also wanted to learn Japanese for many years. So my question is, are there any good resources for kids that would be also useful for an adult? My son’s first language is English, mine is Ukrainian if that matters.
