Have been buying salmon from Costco to make sashimi for over 4 years now, still the best deal around. Sushi grade A1

It was about $20 a slab until 2021, and now it’s about $30….but still an amazing deal. Sushi restaurants can make around $300-$400 profit from just one of these slabs so it’s a great deal

  1. Is there other fish in a similar situation? I love salmon and all, but it kinda gets dull as a one note friday sushi.

  2. Do you freeze it just in a regular freezer before preparing? I think Costco seems like a good choice for me as I’m trying to find sushi grade salmon as well

  3. I would 100% do Costco salmon but I have an Asian/international market nearby where I can also do tuna, eel, etc.

Great shout though, I definitely do Costcos frozen shrimp tempura for rolls.

  4. I’ve found many live parasites in the wild caught salmon from costco! They let me return it. Just a heads up to buyers. Only buy the frozen kind now 🥲
