  1. This must be a frequently asked question but its difficult summarize and search for. I’m starting out with Tae Kim’s guide and progressing very slowly. I’m running into a wall memorizing kanji, but that in turn makes it very difficult to proceed with the grammar lessons because they’ll *use* the kanji. If I keep up this pace of about 5 pages per day it’ll take me two more months to get through the book. Is that normal?
