English Teacher or Nurse in a elderly care facility?

To get right into the point, im male 24 y/o from GREECE and currently im studying for english proficiency. My girlfriend lives and works in japan (she is native japanese) so my plan is to find a job and japan so i can live with her. Obviously from what i read the easiest way is to teach english in Japan, but the problem is that im not “native speaker” from an english country, im greek!

So the question is, **if i get a college degree for English linguistics and a TOEFL certificate, will i have chances to work in japan as an English teacher**? or because im **NOT NATIVE** that wont allow me to teach and work there?

My other plan is to get a **Nursing degree to work in elderly care centers/facilities and also learn the Japanese language**, will i have better chances as Nurse?

What do you guys think its much better in my situation?

  2. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Spouse visa is really the best visa outside of getting PR.

Don’t think the nursing degree thing will work as you’re going to need pretty high level Japanese plus medical Japanese to communicate with the patients and staff.
