After 2.5 years of being married, my wife and I are finally doing our belated honeymoon (thanks COVID) We leave in 2.5 weeks! All of our hotels are booked so that part of the agenda is set.
We love to eat, experience culture and explore the outdoors.
I didn’t want to plan to many specific places to eat as there is so much amazing food all across Japan.

Day 1 – Arrive to Narita at 5:50pm.
• Try Tamago from Family mart / 711 / Lawsons
• Check into Hotel (Shinjuku) and have a relaxing night and try to beat Jet Lag
Day 2 Tokyo (staying in Shinjuku)
• Coffee at Koffee Mameya
• Explore Shinjukiu and Shibuya
• “5am” Ramen Tour in the afternoon
Day 3 Tokyo
•Tsukiji Market for breakfast
• Team Labs @10
• Imperial Palace
• hama-rikyu onshi-teien
Day 4 Tokyo
•Akihabara
•Open to suggestions for other activies
Day 5 Tokyo > Kamikochi
Day 6 and 7
•Hike to and stay at Hotakadaka Mountain Hut, and hike back to Kamikochi
Day 8 Kamikochi > Kyoto
• Arashiyama bamboo forest
• Maybe a Tea Ceremony
Day 9 Kyoto
•Fushimi Inari
•Potentially do a bike tour?
•Gion
Day 10 Kyoto
• Stay the night Tawaraya Ryokan
• My wife has a long run for her marathon training, so I will have some time to solo explore
Day 11 Kyoto > Osaka
• Room for suggestions
Day 12 Osaka
• Our Agendas are fairly open throughout Osaka at the moment.
• Definitely will be eating lots of street food!
• Any Sumo Activies available?
Day 13 Osaka >Tokyo (staying in Taito)

Day 11 is a natural time to go to Nara. Take your bags with you from Kyoto and dump them in a station locker, explore Nara that day, retrieve bags and head to Osaka.
