  1. What the hell did he do in NOAH to make them torture him so much? Guy must be an absolute menace backstage.

  2. He is good but man, fans thinking he was going to make it into the playoffs, man he’s Okada @ Home.

  3. Youngest GHC heavyweight champion ever, very good wrestler and he couldn’t make it out the block.Block A had some killers this year, and Sanada beat Kaito in a great match. But Kaito couldn’t even meet Okada in his home promotion in his home tourney but lost to Okada during the Muto Retirement show that was housed in Kaito’s home promotion.

Kaito aimed for the sun and hit the moon instead. But judging from this picture, it wasn’t enough.

  4. people clown Kaito in and out of kayfabe but I thought he was probably one of the stronger performers in the G1, especially among the younger talent.

It’ll be cool to see how he does when he doesn’t have to carry older wrestlers to decent matches. Judging from his performance in the G1, it’ll be terrific.

  5. I wonder what NOAH offered NJPW to grant Kaito a G1 spot. Must be one hell of an IOU that NJPW is holding on to right now.

  6. Kiyomiya is an amazing wrestler in my opinion, been following him since 2019, his match with Marufuji for the GHC Heavyweight Championship at Great Voyage 2019 in Yokohama made me a fan.

  7. I’m beginning to wonder if that stiff kick to Okada few months back was really a work… His NJPW experience is far from jobbing but he seems booked as badly as possible without burning the bridge with NOAH. Now, I am ready to be humbled by Gedo in few months when suddenly Kiomiya defeats Okada at WK.

  8. To me, this was a job audition for NJPW, and he passed he got over with the fans put on good matches and was treated on the same level as the new 3 Musketeers.

  9. He’ll get the win back against Okada one day. I just feel like this entire arc of his career is about him gaining more experience and becoming a better performer all round.

And, people like to question his booking over the last year, but that’s not exactly a great argument either. N1 winner. GHC World Title winner. A win over Muto. And now he’s being presented everywhere he goes as NOAH’s Ace despite coming up short whenever he competes against NJPW talent.

It’ll take time. But he’ll get there. I expect he’ll have some involvement come WK too.

  10. I’m not even a noah guy but I need kaito to go on a damn 2016 lesnar monster run.

He’s been done the most dirty I’ve ever seen an ace

  11. What a weird booking in retrospect, it all seemed geared towards a deep run into Okada (maybe even Naito in the finals) but they didn’t pull the trigger. Oh well, at least we got some very good matches out of the A block.

  12. Not to sound very disrespectful of the legend, but

what the fuck happened to Tenzan? His shoulder seemed weird.
