Let’s start with the top Match Points: Ishii and Tanahashi tie with 10 match points, with each one scoring one additional pin point to tie again at 11. Both were on four winning tag teams and one losing team, bringing their total points to 13.25, since there needs to be a decisive winner, they are out.
Great-O-Khan and Yota Tsuji follow in similar fashion: tied at 8 match points, scoring two additional pin points and the same team points for a total of 11.5 points. As they tie, they too are out.
Now comes HENARE and Cobb with 8 match points. HENARE’s 10 pin points wins over Cobb’s 9, but Cobb’s 11 team points go over HENARE’S 10.75; NO CLEAR WINNER.
Kingston and Kidd have similar 6/8/9 spreads, so the only real stand out is Narita with 6/9/9.5. However, the original rules of C block were for the NON-TOURNAMENT COMPETITORS, so I’m going to stick with that, even though most of the above wrestler’s G1s were over before the undercard matches began (sans Kingston and Cobb).
Four comepetitors tie with 6 match points: SHO, Suzuki, BUSHI, and Fujita. BUSHI and Fujita are quickly dismissed as they were both pinned three times to effectively half their scores. SHO bumps to 8 and Suzuki stays at 6 since he didn’t get the win in any of his matches. Suzuki was in more matches than SHO though, bringing his team points to 8. SHO barely squeaks by with an 8.75 total.
So, this year’s E Block Champion, where the points don’t matter and this is completely made up, is: SHO!
