Hey guys! Just a quick query, I’ll be starting up work as an ALT in Japan next year and just exploring the possibility of tutoring online on the side in the evenings as a bit of a side hustle. Has anyone got experience doing this and more importantly is it technically allowed? I’m aware of non-compete clauses and all that comes with being an ALT but after further reading it seems they’re essentially moot under Japans Constitution.
Tl;dr – Can i do online tutoring on the side while working as an ALT in Japan?
