  1. They are uncut sushie rolls made bigger with closed ends. I dont see whats to hate generally speaking, other than they arent very cost friendly, because they tend to pack them with rice, the veggies and very minimal fish. But they are just uncut sushi rolls made big. And its worse with sushirito places, and fairly common at most sushi restaurants in the states to be that way unfortunately. (Recently found one though that does a keto/protein style where they wrap in thinly sliced cucumber around 3 massive pieces of different fish, small bit of carrot, and avocado, and it was reasonably priced.)

Would make one at home though. Ranch 99 and costco have really good fish deals most of the time. Ranch 99 even has it sashimi ready (you have to cut it yourself, but theyve made the hunk of fish look like what you see behind the glass at a sushi restaurant). But should start to make sushi at home before i do that lol

  2. I prefer a more even distribution of flavor/ingredients. Definitely some less than optimal bites in that burrito

  3. Novelty to try and enjoy. Good for on the run type of fresh fish better than fish fry stick burritos for sure

  4. Looks good, I really would like to try one, but I can not find a place that makes them near me.

  5. It’s only good if you intend on eating it within the hour you get it. If you’re on the go? it’s definitely not something I’d take to go.

  6. The one I’ve had tasted more like a warm-ish poke bowl or hand roll

I’ve only had a few from a few different places though

  7. In general they can be great! Though, this one is cut on a long bias that renders it barely a burrito anymore. And, is that tomato?

  8. Had one. It was okay. Not every bite is portioned the same so sometimes its a lot of fish, no fish, imo crab, no crab, just rice. Some are great, some kinda make it feel not worth it.

  9. TBH when people fu** sushi up – I’d rather they go full “burrito sushi” like in this example, than when they say they made sushi but all they made is some weird mix of soggy rice and raw fish, covered with some unholy sauces.
At least with the burrito sushi you can tell they are taking the pi**

So I say: enjoy this beautiful mess 😌

  10. Funny this popped up because I had one for the first time today. Good? Yes. I had a spicy tuna roll. Flavor was good, plenty of food. Would I go out of my way to eat one again? No. It’s hard to get a good mixture of all the ingredients in one bite. It’s not as good leftover because the avocado and cucumber got soggy. I’d rather just have the sushi roll.
