Question about sharehouse

Hello everyone ! So , I got the mext scholarship and I’ll be moving to Japan for 1 year to study at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (in Fuchu) starting late September.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a room at the dorm because apparently they were full , so now i have to look for housing . I looked at some options the university gave me and I’m starting to believe a sharehouse might be my best bet since apartments are really expensive.

What are your opinions on sharehouses? Would be a good idea to move into one? So far , I looked at this sharehouse called WILL Fuchu that’s near the university. It seems like the cheapest option for me , 40 000 yen a month for a shared room . What do you guys think?

Does any of you have any experiences with this sharehouse or with others from TOKYO SHAREHOUSE?

  2. I’ve stayed at a few share houses in the past when traveling around Tokyo before I settled. The one you picked looks fine. Being close to university it will most likely have other students. Just make sure to invest in some ear plugs and clean up after yourself.
