I am leaving japan on the 23rd of August
I have done a full-time paid internship (~20万円 monthly) from the 15th of February to the 15th of August.
Information online is really confusing and conflicting, do I gave to pay for any left over residence tax?
If you need to know, my municipality is 豊島区

If you are not a resident of Japan on January 1st 2024 you do not have to pay residence tax on your 2023 calendar year income.
If you had any income in calendar year 2022 you have to pay off the remaining portion of that though.
