Makeup : what to get for my sisters ?

I am going home next month for the first time in a few years. The last time i sent presents back the colored eyeliner and mascaras I got for my sisters were a big hit.

I don’t know much about makeup, but I want to get them something similar this time going home. Obviously things like foundations and the like im not gonna buy, but what are some good shops or brands I can shop online or in Tokyo to get things that are a little bit less common in Europe fore makeup loving girls in their 20s?

I’m thinking eyeliners eyeshadows eyelashes and the likes but any suggestion welcome

  1. I’m not sure what’s common in Europe, but the packaging for this one brand in the drugstore has a cool witchy vibe that’s unique. (MAJOLICA MAJORCA)

Personally I swear by a mascara by HEROINE MAKE, their waterproof one doesn’t come off.

ITSDEMO stores often have cute collabs for their makeup

  2. These are items I’ve bought for my sisters and friends on multiple occasions (sorry if the formatting is a mess):

Heroine make long and curl mascara

    Love liner liquid liner

    Canmake cream cheek blush

    Kate lip monster

Not makeup items but these have always been well received:

    Shiseido eyelash curler

    Melano CC essence

Shiseido Fino premium touch hair mask

    Matomage hair styling stick

Sunscreen also makes a nice gift even if they’re not into makeup. I love Nivea UV Super Water Gel because it’s super light, and Canmake Mermaid UV gel because it serves as a nice glowy makeup base.

  3. I just walked past a display for M.A.C. that has a line of lipstick and a couple other things related to astrology sign. It said only in Japan. Seemed kinda cool. My sign was sold out though

  4. One of the coolest makeup things I’ve found in Japan was this ( https://www.isehan.co.jp/heroine/feature/speedymascararemover/ ) If you’re unfamiliar with makeup, usually when you remove it you use a wet tissue or maybe some liquid and rub it off. But this is makeup remover on an applicator looks like an actual mascara wand. It’s very effective. Since I’m thinking about it I would also recommend an アホ毛スティック. This is for hair and not makeup but I figure if your sisters are interested in makeup, they’ll be interested in hair stuff too lol Anyways, it’s basically what I assume is hair spray but in a little bottle that has a small applicator that you can use to tame small portions of your hair. When I want to do a slicked back pony tail or something these things keep down all the flyaways. Both of these things I have never seen at least in the US and I can’t live without them lol For shops, the Cosme store in Harajuku is the holy grail- the biggest makeup store in Tokyo. Unless they’re sold out you can also get all of the things I’ve listed above there. Hope this was helpful lol

  5. You can get some cute stuff at the Anna Sui store. There’s a store in Harajuku or online [https://annasui.co.jp/en](https://annasui.co.jp/en)

She’s a New York designer but they only have stores in Japan? I dunno what the deal is exactly. But the stuff is cute and they probably can’t get it at home.

  6. think the cream cheek has already been mention, i also really like canmake eyeshadow palettes!

  7. My favorites here:

    Canmake and Ducato nail polishes,
Can Do now has a line of Japan inspired nail polishes and they’re so cute,
Addiction blush (a bit pricier though),
    Kate Tokyo lip monster,
    Canmake mascara,
    Excel eyeshadows.

  8. Rom&nd lip tints and mascara. Ducato, Canmake, and NailHolic nail polishes. Avance Lash Serum EX is not makeup but is quite popular and makes your lashes grow! Also agree with the suggestion of sunscreen, Anessa is my favorite.
