Day 1: Tokyo
Arrival at Tokyo in the afternoon. Stay at Shinjuku. Explore Shinjuku night scene.
Day 2: Tokyo
Harajuku: Meiji Jingu Shrine, Takeshita Dori.
Shibuya: Shibuya Scramble Crossing,
Hachiko Statue, Shibuya Sky.
Day 3: Kyoto
Arrival at Kyoto around 11 AM. Stay at Gion District.
Visit Nishiki Market, Yasaka Shrine, Ninenzaka Street, Pontocho Alley.
Day 4: Kyoto
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Tenryu Ji Temple.
Day 5: Kyoto
Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu Dera Shrine.
Day 6: Osaka
Arrival at Osaka around 10 AM. Stay at Shinsaibashi district. Osaka Castle, Dotonbori area at night (food and drinks).
Day 7: Osaka
Morning: Nara (Day trip): Nara Deer Park, Todaiji Temple.
Evening: Return to Osaka. Explore remaining attractions if possible. (example: Shinsekai, America Mura, etc.)
Day 8: Tokyo
Arrival at Tokyo around noon. Stay in Asakusa. Visit Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Street.
Day 9: Tokyo
Visit Mt. Fuji (Day Trip): Kawaguchiko Mt. Fuji Panorama Ropeway, Maple corridor, Oishi Park Mt. Fuji view.
Day 10: Tokyo
Akihabara: Visit Arcades and Anime Shops
Day 11: Tokyo
Food Tour: Tsukiji Outer Fish Market
Day 12: Return
P.S: I am visiting Japan in Autumn and for the very first time. I’ll probably be doing it solo and my itinerary is solely based on YouTube videos. Tried to pack as much action as possible within such a short time. Any kind of advice regarding anything I might have overlooked, miscalculated or could be added in this itinerary will be greatly appreciated.

Just 2 recommendations:
– If I remember correctly near the bamboo grove there is a mountain with monkeys on top which was kind of cool (Iwatayama)
– When in Kyoto I liked Kinkakuji a lot (golden temple)
