Hello everyone. I am an international student and I am returning to my home country at the end of this month. I arrived in august 2022 so I stayed a year.
I am confused about residence tax. Do I need to pay?
I have never worked in Japan so, I have 0 income. I would appreciate if anyone could let me know.
I have never heard of this and never filed any documents so I am quite confused.

No income means no residence tax.
Did you get a bill? If not then no.
If you didn’t work, and really have 0 income then no.
