Presentation to 2 Relatives in Tokyo – Where?

I need to make a presentation to 2 relatives in Tokyo in a public venue (not in home) on a weekend. It is nothing overly confidential or sensitive, I just need a place where I can distribute the presentation on A4 paper and they can follow along page by page. I know large office buildings have those small glass cubicle areas in the lobby where people can meet semi-privately on a first-come, first-served basis as far as I can tell.

Shinjuku would be ideal since one is coming via Odakyu and the other is coming via Saikyo. Do the Tokyo Metropolitan Government buildings work for this? Another option is a food court or tea shop. Any hotel lobbies come to mind? It doesn’t have to be free. A rental room would work, something like a love hotel without the bed. LOL.

  1. Dotour has some quiet smoking booths.

I can picture it now.. a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity..
    Prestige Worldwide, *wide wide wide*

  2. Where do you live? If you live in or know someone who lives near Shinjuku, you should be able to book a room in one of the citizen centers in the various wards. Contact (or have someone contact) the relevant Ward office.

  3. Since you’re saying a rental room would work, why not just a karaoke room? Many moons ago I did this for a coworker who wanted a crash-course of English phrases to prep for an overseas trip, got paid in beer 🙂

  4. A room rental site like Instabase or Space Market would probably be your best bet. Lots are set up for presentations, interviews, remote work, etc.

  5. There is a Hyatt regency in shinjuku. Since it’s not confidential, You can have a cup of coffee and do this at their lobby lounge…
