Curious about entry requirements for universities in Japan (specifically Uni of Kyoto iUP and Hokkaido Integrated Sciences)

Hi everybody! I’m not sure if I’m sharing this to the right subreddit, but here we go.

I’m looking to apply to universities in Japan, and I was wondering if you had any advice? I’d specifically like some help with these questions. I’ve found that they’re super ambiguous with their academic standing, and any help would be appreciated!!

1. What stats should I be looking at as an A level student (eg. A level grades, UCAS point equivalents, etc.) and would i need to take other standardized tests? (SAT’s, etc.)

2. What sort of learning environment do universities in japan have?

3. Are there any with potentially lower application requirements?

General advice would also be very appreciated, thank you!!!

  2. I think it’s best to check the individual universities websites as I imagine their requirements might differ. I’m not sure if you would be required to have N1 Japanese also.

  3. If you want to take a course in Japanese, as a foreigner A level grades don’t matter, you’ll have to take the EJU instead. As for courses in English you should ask the unis for their requirements. Entry requirements should by default be listed on the unis sites anyway
