So I’m home alone until Sunday when my wife and son come home, so I’m doing my own ironing every morning.
I have a bad feeling I left the iron on at home today.
It’s a Panasonic cordless one with an ‘auto-off’ feature so even if I did leave it on I’m sure that would work, but I don’t know how reliable those functions actually are.
In my head my apartment is on fire, I’m being deported and whilst in jail being haunted by the spirits of the hundreds of people who lost their lives due to my negligence.
Make me feel better 🙂

I once left an iron on for 3+ weeks on a towel on my bedroom floor. This was a long time ago. I assume modern ones have an auto shutoff.

I’ve left an empty pan on the gas stove on low heat for hours on end and the only thing that happened was the kitchen was kind of warm when I got home. It’s not that easy for stuff to catch fire just from being hot. Don’t worry!
