Football Opportunities whilst pursuing MBA in Japan

I’ve recently graduated with a BBA degree in India, and I’m currently trialling with semi professional football teams here to play in regional leagues. I plan to pursue my MBA after two years, by which I hope to have played significantly in the aforementioned semi pro leagues.
So basically, my questions are:

1. Is it possible to do my MBA and play JFL (4th tier), especially as a foreigner?
2. If yes, then which universities are the best to pursue the MBA from?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

University teams don’t as a rule play in the Japan Football League, but if you can find a team that will take you I can’t imagine there being an issue with you playing for them. You’d have to juggle the practice/match schedule with your studies on your own however. As a note, if you’re taking a paid position on one of these teams you’d need to get permission from immigration to engage in activities outside the scope of your status of residence. But for students this is pretty much a formality.

For the proper J League, they used to have limits on the number of foreigners allowed per team, but they’ve scratched that rule and now only have limits on the number allowed to be fielded on match days.
