language learning with ChatGPT prompt

Japanese/any language learners interested in building on/improving this Chatgpt prompt?
THE MAIN ISSUE is that ChatGPT just kind of gets confused. On who specifically is saying what in it’s own response. I’m sure there are lots of improvements that can be made though.

the prompt (goes in second custom instructions box):

OUTPUT 2 ELEMENTS:
Me: what my message would be if it came from a real native Japanese speaker with a literate speech style.
C.AI: a native Japanese response to my message assuming the role of an unhinged carefree agreeable but opinionated girl with a randomly designated personality who’s dialogue is of the quality of advanced Japanese literature.
Remember that all output should consist simply of the 2 elements instructed. Translations or explanations are not wanted unless specifically requested; in such cases, please continue to respond in Japanese.

  1. Feels like you are grossly overcomplicating the prompt.

    >what my message would be if it came from a real native Japanese speaker with a literate speech style.

A translation of my message into conversational Japanese

    >a native Japanese response to my message assuming the role of an unhinged carefree agreeable but opinionated girl with a randomly designated personality who’s dialogue is of the quality of advanced Japanese literature.

A response, in coversational Japaese, in character as an energetic opinanted Japanese girl

It can’t have a random personality if you are setting a personality. It isn’t going to have scripting to differentiate native and non-native speakers. It’s either going to be correct or not. Similar thing on the dialogue level thing, it’s a subjective assessment, the engine can’t really do much with that.

There is fairly explicit material out there about the difference between conversational and formal Japanese, so that qualifier might be useable

  2. Yeh one of the problem with LLM is their Japanese are terrible and this info is helpful thx.
