So I have an old 82 Bank account which I still use to get my salary. However, I put all of my savings into my Shinsei account. I’m wondering if I would need to provide both a copy off my 82 bankbook as well as proof of my current amount in my Shinsei account, or if just the latter would be okay?
I ask because there I have a part-time job that I (to my own fault) haven’t claimed (which goes into my 82 bank account), and I feel this could potentially cause a few questions (it’s generally something I just do one or two afternoons a month though, and the amount isn’t particularly high – though can go over the 20,000 yen allowed amount). It just shows up as 給与 though (as my main salary does) and doesn’t go into specifcs.
Thanks!

As long as you can show sufficient assets, it doesn’t matter.
Two rules:
– Never lie to immigration
– Never volunteer more information than you were asked for
You were asked for “proof of savings”, not “history of all your bank accounts”. You know what to do.
