There’s already millions of people who have never been to Shinagawa. Osaka ain’t that bad.
I would welcome this.
But I have to say that my recent PR renewal at Torihama on a Monday morning was extremely quick and easy, in and out in 30 minutes. It’s just that it is WAY far away from me.
It’s good to live in the inaka, was in and out within 10 minutes
Here in Inaka there are only 3 chairs in the waiting room, and they have never been full, but I hate going there because they don’t have aircon and it’s like a sauna.
Yono in Saitama was pretty crowded but not terrible by any means.
Although Digital processing beats physical visits any day and f the week
While 30 minutes at Shinagawa once every 7 years has not ruined my life so far, I’m still happier to skip it. This is quite sensible since it’s purely administrative: the printing and laminating of a new card and affixing a new photo. If they can do this online and deliver the new card securely by post, then great.
I thought residence cards could already be renewed online? (although the process is absolutely crap, I ended up applying physically anyway like many others…)
