  1. It is a katsuo (skipjack tuna) furikake.
Furikake (ふりかけ) is a dry Japanese condiment sprinkled on top of cooked rice, vegetables, and fish, or used as an ingredient in onigiri. It typically consists of a mixture of dried fish, sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Other ingredients in furikake such as katsuobushi (sometimes indicated on the package as bonito), or okaka (bonito flakes moistened with soy sauce and dried again), freeze-dried salmon particles, shiso, egg, powdered miso and vegetables are often added to the mix.

  2. Katsuo furikake, also known as skipjack tuna furikake, is a popular Japanese seasoning blend that is used to add flavor and texture to rice, vegetables, and other dishes. “Furikake” literally means “sprinkle over” in Japanese, and it’s often used as a condiment to enhance the taste of plain rice or other foods
