Hello,
I am finalizing some details of my solo trip. Here is what I have planned for my \~2 week trip. Just looking for some insight and suggestions. I also have a few questions that I have. Thank you in advance. <3 I am only posting my bare-bones itinerary and I don’t have everything listed in detail. I have landmarks on my maps for each area. I tried to make things more open just in case I come across something I want to check out while I am exploring or if I am just tired.
(Tues) Day 1- Land 2:30- Staying in Chiyoda City- Focus on Checking in and exploring the area. Soaking it all in.
(Wed) Day 2–Team Labs first thing in the morning.- Harajuku/ Akihabara\*\*I also found some Sumo tournament tickets for this day that are drop in so I might do that after or End the night at Shibuya Sky rooftop bar
(Thurs) Day 3– Possible Disney Sea/ Disney land evening ticket trying to take advantage of the Jet lag- Other possibility is to do Meiji Jinju in the morning and Shibuya/ Harajuku exploration rest of the day
Friday Day 4- Activate JR pass-Train to Nagoya- Ghibli Warehouse Ticket (Wasn’t able to get museum ticket)- Explore Nagoya- Nagoya to Kyoto (Staying pretty close to Kyoto Station)(Sat) Day 5-Fushimi Inari First thing in the morning- Gion District attractions- Night walk
(Sun) Day 6- Arashiyama Area by Romance Car (bamboo forest, temples, togetsu-kyo bridge)- I originally planned this day to be for traveling to Nachi falls which is 5 hours each way. I think Nachi falls looks beautiful, but I feel like I lose a whole day just in traveling doing that.
(Mon) Day 7- Check out of Kyoto Hotel- Day trip to Hiroshima (Peace Park, Museum, Miyajima Island)- Return and check into Osaka Hotel (Placed right in Namba)-Walk around Namba at night(Tues) Day 8 — Universal Studios (Tickets purchased) I hope to stay all day with the Halloween attractions going on.- Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel (If I leave USJ early)- Namba Night walk
(Wed) Day 9 — Check out of Osaka Hotel- Nara park in the morning- Leave Osaka by 2pm to Hakone (staying at Inn in Gora)(Thurs) Day 10-Check out of Inn and Store bags- Open air museum- part of Hakone Loop- Check into Fukuzumiro Ryokan by 3 pm (Kaiseki Dinner at 6 pm) Relax rest of the day
(Fri) Day 11- Finish Rest of Hakone Loop-Sengokuhara Grass Fields- Odawara to Asakusa Hotel\*\* I would really love to just make this a day to rent a car and go to Fujikawaguchiko but I think I should just stay in the Gora area and take advantage of the Hakone Free pass.
(Sat) Day 12- Asakusa and Ueno- Baseball Game at Tokyo Dome (would start at 2)- Tattoo appointment in Shibuya at 6pm- Senso- ji at night
(Sun) Day 13-Saitama Day trip to Kinchakuda Manjushage Park for the Spider Lily field- Last minute anything and shopping (Tokyo tower, etc)
(Mon) Day 14-Free until flight at 4:45 pm
\- I am considering moving my Team Labs day to this morning and free up my Day 2
Question:-My JR pass would end on Thursday while I am in Hakone. Would it be worth it to get the Hakone Free pass and only use it one way from Odawara to Shinjuku, or just get the one-way ticket?
