I tried the shouyu here right after trying the Konjiki Hototogisu shouyu and I think I prefer Tsutsa’s broth. It has a stronger flavor but the noodles and topping at Konjiki Hototogisu were better in my opinion. The side dish that came with was also very good. I wasn’t a fan of the dan dan though. It didn’t have much sesame flavor and it had a lot of spice, but I don’t mean heat. I tasted a lot of cumin so it didn’t give me the little bit of sweetness that I prefer. Also there were parts that were impossible to chew. Nakiryu definitely has the better tantanmen and the best shouyu I would say.
