Hello, first time posting. I’m working on eventually moving to Japan. However, I was diagnosed with MS two years ago. I’m wondering, what are some things I should know? I’ve looked around online but I can only find so much information before it just starts repeating itself.

Do you have a bachelor or higher university diploma ? Do you have significant savings ? Do you have marketable skills ? Do you speak Japanese ?
Regardless of your health status, If the answer is no to any of these questions you have very limited prospects.
Japan is not know for being particularly friendly to people who need mobility aids. I obviously don’t know where you are in terms of progression and/or needs, but that’s something to be aware of.
Many train/subway stations are only borderline “accessible”. Like maybe there’s only one elevator, leading to only one of the platforms, so you have to get on the wrong train, go to another station that’s more accessible, cross over and then get on the train you wanted to be on originally.
Elevators in buildings are hit or miss. Stairs are everywhere, even in the middle of sidewalks sometimes.
