Thanks for everything Japan.

I’ve heard that Japan has a demographic problem that is impossible to solve and that will end with Japan’s “golden era” due to the population shrinking and the population aging and start with Japan’s fall that will end with Japan being forgotten (I hope that this moment is not near…)

So, thanks for everything Japan, for those animes, mangas, music and arts that impressed everyone in the world, even with Japan dissapearing I will always like the great wave off Kanagawa that I have as my wallpaper, I will always be a fan of sushi and never forget when those landscapes were popular.

Japan still exists and will not disappear tomorrow, but the fall is obvious and I will try to enjoy this amazing country’s culture until the end.

ありがとうございます.

  1. It’s not gonna disappear, it will just be less densely populated. And if you look at history, golden ages usually followed periods of population decline because there were less people for the amount of resources

  2. Japan isn’t going away. Even by the most severe estimates the population is projected to drop to 75 million from the current 125 million by 2100. And that’s assuming the current trend continues for seven decades. A lot will change in that time.

  3. Is this a sarcastic post? (Sorry it’s really hard to tell these days)

I’ve heard this countless of time since Elon Musk mentioned it. However, if you look at the data about birth rate decline. There are a lot of countries that facing the same or worse problem than Japan.
