Internet space for personal ads?

There used to be CL personals.

Bumble requires face and I have too many friends around here to post a face pic.

I work from home. Tinder is messy. I’m busy w/ work so I don’t want a relationship.

Where else can I post a well-worded personal ad to find some decent people? FetLife? Okcupid?

I’m a woman looking for men if that matters.

This is a real question. Don’t ban me.

  1. Metropolis classifieds is pretty good. Have had success on there multiple times, though not much traffic.

  2. Anything other than tinder will require more effort than tinder.

If you are looking for something “unusual”, I had some luck on the “whisper” app (as a heterosexual man). FetLife people were way too serious about their “hobbies”, I felt out of place there.

Instagram works well too for something casual and meeting people with similar interests nearby. Make an anonymous profile about something you enjoy rather than your own pics.

  3. If you’re not cheating then just post your face? it’s neurotic to act like nobody can know that we’re humans with romantic interests.

  4. Maybe try Facebook or Instagram. My companionship entity and I met after he found my social media page and sent me a message.

  5. There’s no shame in putting your face on a dating ad. The only people who will see it are others in the same boat, who are also looking to meet people. And honestly, they’re gonna see your face anyway when you meet up. Might as well be up front from the get-go.

Also, if you have many friends here, why not ask them if they have any guy friends who are single and looking to meet someone? It would go a long way towards cutting out the creeps!

  6. It’s interesting to see how the upvotes and downvotes on the original post keep balancing out. The total fluctuates around 0.

I wonder if the downloads are from sxx-negative people hmmmmm
