As a Taiwanese, this seems rather reasonable and logical. Our government tries to keep it sensible and scientific, and even the opposition parties candidates from the kmt and tpp said the same thing more or less.
After living in Fukushima for seven years and seeing the rigorous process they go through to deconatminate everything. I honeslty believe the water is safe. Regular water is nonconductive of nuclear radiation, but any particles an chemicals within that water are not. Provided they filter and clean that water it should be safe. Unfortunately most people don’t trust the science and there is a ton of fake news on the net, so a lot of people are sceptical.
