Looking for foreigner experience using #7119 and #9110 in Japan. Did those answering the line speak English? Was it helpful to call? Would it be helpful to promote these numbers for foreigners in Japan who may or may not speak Japanese?
**Relevant background info:** Trying to develop a list of resources for US military community members (non-active duty) who were recently de-prioritized for healthcare on US military bases in Japan (across mainland and Okinawa). This forces them to seek help from community healthcare, but due to the nature of their stay in Japan, they are under SOFA status (granted while working for the military, ineligible for residency while working despite some people staying for decades, does not include stipulations for healthcare from the local community) and not eligible for JHI. Trying to put together relevant/useful resources for people of varying Japanese language skills who have recently found themselves without access to medical assistance on US bases where they work.
