We found a service that checks for mail weekly and holds onto it until we request it, but is there a lot of unsolicited mail in Japan like there can be in the States? Just don’t want the mailbox to get stuffed.

**Is Junk Mail (physical mail) an issue in Japan?**
We are renting a house in Tokyo, but we are still transitioning to living there full time, so it will be empty for weeks at a time for the first few months. We found a service that checks for mail weekly and holds onto it until we request it, but is there a lot of unsolicited mail in Japan like there can be in the States? I get stuff like domino’s menus, random mail from my city etc but it isn’t that much. I live in a dorm though
