Chinese statistics show that 13 nuclear power plants in China each released more radioactive tritium into the ocean in 2021 than the planned amount to be released from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in one year.

   “well, that’s true, but it’s completely different, because these releases are completely normal liquid effluents from nuclear power plants”.

6. no radioactive tritium is better than either country. It’s not a competition. I get that it needs to be done and the hypocrisy of pointing fingers but let’s not forget that none of this is good.
