I am relocating from Japan to Singapore in November. I have been investing in US market using Rakuten Securities and have my profits in it in USD. Does anyone know how to withdraw US dollar from it without converting into JPY and transfer into USD holdable account like Wise? I have thought of this options but couldn’t t work:
1. Sony bank. Sony bank only receives money transfer using Swift transfer, but Rakuten Securities told me that they don’t do Swift transfer
2. Transferring from Rakuten Securities directly to Wise. Rakuten Securities said that they only transfer USD to those banks that are based in Japan(has a branch in Japan) but Wise doesn’t have a branch in Japan.

Perhaps ask Rakuten Securities for a list of banks they are able to transfer in USD to, and open an account with one of them?
I believe [Rakuten Bank has a foreign currency account](https://www.rakuten-bank.co.jp/assets/forexdep/ordinary/), and I’ve heard that their international transfer fees are pretty reasonable.
To move USD into Wise, you’ll need to send it as a swift transfer to their USD account.
Not sure but that’s a great move from a career and life standpoint. Best of luck!
You can send foreign currency to Citibank and Prestia without converting to yen:

There is a somewhat-substantial fee (25 USD and a comparable amount for other currencies), but it’s probably a better deal than converting to yen and then converting back to USD.
I sent USD to Prestia and then onward to my US bank a few years ago and everything went fine.
