  1. It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

Maybe check out **the canonical page** instead: **[https://mlw.com/2023/08/24/njpw-x-mlw-kicks-off-sept-3-in-philly/](https://mlw.com/2023/08/24/njpw-x-mlw-kicks-off-sept-3-in-philly/)**

  2. Until I see anything from NJPW about this, I’m assuming it’s just that MLW will be booking NJPW talent like most other notable North American indy companies have been doing.

Entering a real partnership with the company that’s actively suing WWE would be a bold and probably not wise move on NJPW’s part. But they’ve made some goofy decisions lately so I wouldn’t put it past them.

  3. I mean… Samoan Swat Team X GOD. Sort out that Ancient Tonga vs Samoa beef once and for all.

  4. This could be great for MLW, honestly. I love them but they’ve been dropping/losing talent fast and furious this year. It’s been a hard watch for a lot of the past 18 months or so.

  5. Wasn’t Rocky already popping up on Fusion every so often anyway? Seems like MLW might just be bringing some NJPW names in for a Philly show.

EDIT: Looked at the MLW Fury Road 2023 card. KUSHIDA’s making his Promotional Debut against ROH’s Tony Deppen on September 3rd in Philly!

  6. NJPW seems to be earning this reputation as the one promotion everyone wants to work with in some capacity.

    Unless you’re WWE (or AAA).

  7. I want Alex Hammerstone aka “The Real life Chad” facing Yota Tsuji or someone just as buffed from New Japan

  8. This is a pretty classic MLW/Court Bauer tactic. I’m sure it’s just some matches, not a true partnership. They’ve announced “partnerships” before that were essentially spot shows. I’m not hating, btw. Court’s a good carny

  9. Didn’t they already have a partnership? I thought that was how Tom Lawlor was able to appear on Strong.

  10. I couldn’t find an emoji of the face I naturally made when I read this headline lol
