My boyfriend and I will be going to Japan in mid October. It is my first time in Japan and bf’s second time (he went to Okinawa with family). I have been searching reddit and blogs for things to do/see/eat and really appreciate seeing everyone’s posts. I tried to group things according to their neighborhoods. Just wanted to share what I have so far and would really appreciate your feedback/recommendations.
FYI – originally wanted to go to Kyoto and Nara too but felt that it is too rushed and will def return to Japan again to see the other side. We see no need for JR pass and will most likely use Suica on our phones
**Tues 10/17 – will purchase esim prior to flying out**
\-land at Haneda at 5am, head to Shimbashi to drop off luggage
\-Get breakfast/brunch/lunch in area or head to Tsukiji market for food
\-Odaiba, Rainbow Bridge, Ferris Wheel
\-Ginza area – gundam statue, muji flagship, Tokyu
\-Check in hotel
\-Tokyo station – Pokemon Dx, Kirby cafe petit, dinner in area
**Weds 10/18**
\-Shibuya – morning for crossing, scramble, Hachiko, and then go back around sunset time
\-Shinjuku – early evening for Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Building, Golden Gai,
\-Harajuku
**Thurs 10/19**
\-Asakusu – shrines and gates, go back to Sensoji at night
\-Akiharabara – shrines
\-Sumida city – Tokyo Sky Tree, Pokemon center, Kirby cafe if booked, Sumida Hokusai Museum
**Fri 10/20**
\-Day trip to Kamakura then Enoshima (for sunset)
\-Not sure if dinner at Enoshina or Tokyo
**Sat 10/21**
\-Ghibli Museum if booked
\-Bunyeo City or Toshima City – temples and shrines
**Sun 10/22 -Nothing planned or maybe do Weds 10/18 stuff so we can rest from jetlag on 10/18**
**Mon 10/23**
\-Check out of hotel and ask to leave large luggage since we are returning to same hotel
\-Head to Shinjuku ⇒ Hakone via 3 day freepass
\-Drop off luggage at onsen or use delivery service from Hakone station
\-Lunch in onsen area or Hakone station
\-Gora, Souzan, Owakudani, and (Togendai if time permits)
\-Head back to onsen to check in and dinner
**Tues 10/24**
\-Breakfast at onsen
\-Togendai, Hakonemachi, motohakone, and (old Tokaido trail if time permits to visit Amazake-chaya tea house)
\-Head back to onsen for dinner
**Weds 10/25**
\-Check out onsen and leave luggage there
\-Gora – Open Air Museum
\-Onsen area – Lalique Museum, Venetian Glass Museum
\-Pickup luggage and head back to Shinjuku ⇒ Shimbashi to check into hotel

\-Disney Sea
\-Last min gifts/souvenirs

\-Check out hotel, leave luggage there, last min gifts/souvenirs, food
\-pick up luggage for flight at Haneda at 6pm
