Children’s English Dictionary

I teach a class at a vocational school for students who want to work overseas as an au pair or at international preschools. I’m looking for sources or even a dictionary for “children’s English.” For example, “blankie” instead of “blanket” or “Nana” instead of “grandmother.” Things like this. Those that au pair do it in the US, and those that work in international preschools here will likely be using American Standard English because of our location.

If nothing like this exists, please tell me some kid words.

  1. Most children’s dictionaries should cover this.

If you know of any former students looking for a job we are hiring.
