I recently started listening to japanese rap battles, like DOTAMA/呂布カルマ vs KTちゃん. Some of the lines the guys throwing at that girl are shockingly awful and would most likely count as sexual harassment in a normal work environment. Yet the comment section is cheering for it. Her senpai said bad lines come with the job and she’ll grow tougher. Is it the same in english speaking country? According to wiki “rappers are not allowed to use profanities or sexually suggestive lyrics, punishable by disqualification”.

Rap Culture in Japan and American is different, i sometimes believe that Japanese rap battles are stuck in 2008-2011 era.
