Something has been on my mind for a while.
My Japanese residence status on the humanities/engineering visa is valid for the next 4 years and I even went to immigration and got approved for the multiple re-entry visa to secure my spot encase I wanted to return in the next couple years or so. Before I left to return to my home country I went to city haul to put a pause on health insurance payments then immediately after I went to the pension office where the kind staff member helped me put in a request to pause my pension payments while I’m not in Japan.
I had to leave japan shortly after so I never saw if that request was approved or not. I’m worried I may be swimming in payments while I’m not there although I did everything on my end to make sure I wasn’t in that situation.
Am I worrying for no reason?

you could call the pension office in question and they will probably know better than anyone here.
