  1. – did basically nothing on Saturday. Chilled at home.
    – Fumigated the house on Sunday and set off the gas detection alarm thing. Whoops. Apologized to all the surrounding neighbours, but they either weren’t home when it happened or they heard nothing.

  2. Friend insisted we go hiking despite it being a million degrees and humid. Sweated more than I’ve ever sweated in my life at the beginning, drank 2L of water, vision blacked once when standing up once, but otherwise doing better at hiking this year! The views were BEAUTIFUL.

Also went to a fireworks show and slept in my car afterward. Got woken up at 2am by what I believe to be a bike gang in the parking spot next to me (why that spot out of the 75% empty parking lot lol).

  3. Last week I climbed my first V3s. Now this week I climbed my first V4!
Gym crush opened a conversation with me and showed me a picture of his cat so I shared a photo of my cat too.

I was so tired from work Saturday I didn’t get out of bed until 12:00 yesterday and that felt great.

  4. I did my second wedding photo shoot (this time in white dress and tux). Really excited to see the pictures. The photographer found it a little bit of a challenge to match the skin tones of my wife and I and our surroundings with his regular spots so he enjoyed the challenge.

Then the hotel we were using for the photos ended with an exchange of business cards with their in-house PR person with a light “Can we use your husband in future photo shoots?” Doubt that I’ll get a call but it was quite the ego boost!

  5. Saturday was mostly a chill day, other than a stroll in Shibuya.

Sunday I went to Yokohama for a haircut, had a nice long walk from Chinatown through Isezaki and up to Minato Mirai, and bought a couple of games I’ve been wanting to play for a long time, like DMC5 and Sekiro. Fucking Sekiro doesn’t have English support though, and this Edo vocabulary is killing me more than the enemies.

  6. Took off Friday to go visit the little dudes at the NICU. Buying an absolutely comical amount of diapers on Amazon (had to split it in two, we either hit the limit on how many that you can order at one time or ran them out of stock).

Wife is still recovering from her c-section, so we did some short walks and shopping around the neighborhood but nothing crazy. Special shout out to Bunkado’s discount section with imported Belgian beers for 200y each.

Had some pasta her mom bought us out on the terrace, so nothing fancy but miles better than hospital food and good to enjoy the weather.

Nicely timed Arsenal game Japan Time (11PM Saturday) but the game was a shit show at the fuck factory.

Also took delivery of and put together our new giant stroller (thanks mom and dad!). Still weeks if not months from actually using it, but its fancy and I’m pretty hyped.

  7. Passed my bike exam with full marks 8)

I’m so excited but slightly less so because I’d have to sacrifice one of my very few, precious PTOs to visit the license center cause license type update is available only on weekdays… 🙁 (unlike normal extensions, available on Sundays too)

  8. Did my “standard” 90km cycling route for the first time since going down with the ‘rona early in the year. Got caught out by guerilla rain part-way through, and then the sun came out for the rest of the route, but managed it reasonably well.

  9. Which one would you prefer?
    – travel via bus 3hrs ride to airport or
-travel via train (three train) to airport?

    Bus total duration 3:30 hrs
    Train 1:44hrs

For bus have to depart around 5:30am
For train , have to depart around 6:37

I am in dilemma on which one is more comfortable and efficient. (Price are about 200-300 differences , bus 3400, train 3100)

  10. Finally got the 2nd hand ps3 I brought on Mercari connected to a monitor and working!! Turns out all I needed to do to defeat the YLOD was to place it upright lmao… so damn relieved.

Worked nights and slept mornings. Getting along well with shiftmate. Starting to recognize a few regulars.

    Did some embroidery

    Ate a ton.

  11. * worked on a proposal saturday
    * went to the Super Yosakoi festival in Yoyogi/Meiji-Jingu on Sunday
