International Studend going to TOKYO Spring semester (Keio or Sophia?)

I’m currently an international student and I’m in the middle of applying to either Keio or Sophia University. But honestly, I’m not sure which one to go for. I’m looking for a university where I can still have time to travel around Japan and where I’ll be able to hang out with lots of international students and make japanese friends.
I checked out both universities, and they both seem to have about the same number of international students. But their programs are a bit different. For Keio, I’m thinking of applying to the Mita Campus. The thing is, the Keio International Program has more interesting classes for my business major so I like that. Even though Keio is really prestigious and has a big campus, I’m not sure if it’s the right fit for me since I’ve not read to many students reviews about Keio.
On the other side, Sophia has a smaller campus but it’s in a great location. Just like Keio, the program options are kind of limited but in this case they are even less options, which I get. My main concern is figuring out which one will give me the chance to make friends with both international and Japanese students who are cool with hanging out with foreigners like me. I just want to make the most out of my time there.
Oh, and to add a bit of urgency, my application is due in only 2 days… So, any help you can give me would be awesome!

  2. Both should be nice. You should check which one would require you to take less classes overall, which would give you more time for traveling and exploring; also which one has the better dorms available. Keio and Sophia are both about equal in their location within Tokyo so this shouldn’t be your main concern. I’ve heard more good things about Sophia, which should have more English-speaking Japanese students than Keio, but Keio is also good. Can you not apply to both and see which one accepts you?
