My husband and I are planning our honeymoon for next spring as we got married when Japan was closed. I’m planning for 10 days excluding travel days. I’d like to visit Kyoto and Osaka, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it to just stay in Tokyo. I think I’ve spaced everything out pretty fairly so if we decide to go off-script it’s not a big deal. Let me know if you think days should be changed or combined.

reduce your number of rest days and stay a couple extra nights in Kyoto.
I’d say 7 days in Tokyo will be enough which means you’ll get some time in Kyoto. You won’t get the full experience of Kyoto but it’ll be a nice taster and worth it I’d say.
It’d be efficient if you could fly into Tokyo and out of Kansai which would reduce a day lost to travel.
We were in Japan for a similar amount of time for our honeymoon. As someone else said, strike the rest day and spend more time in Kyoto. It was my favorite city of the trip. Gion and Ponto Cho are great if you like food and drink
Get your yen before leaving so you can find the best rates. You will lose so much $ in fees and rates at the airport
