Or would it just be fine to show an online statement with your current balance (which is a lot more convenient for me). I figure with the employment certificate, and perhaps 1 or 2 years worth of salary receipts, I should be okay with regards to the ‘proof of savings’.
Thanks.

I never submitted a copy of my bank book, just a 残高証明書 was enough for me.
A screenshot of my balance was enough for me.
is there a proof of savings needed for PR ?!
I am investing a lot of money and there’s not a lot of money in my account (maybe 1M)
Depends on how you’re applying and what they ask for. I didn’t have to submit any financial info.
I didn’t submit any financial info, other than tax documents
I just used a screen shot of the front page of my internet banking
I don’t even remember submitting it, pretty sure I didn’t prepare it at all. Got PR no problem.
I just submitted a screenshot from my online banking and had no issue. Might depend on the circumstances though…
I just made a copy of the latest page of my bank book and slipped it in with the rest of the papers. PR was approved 7 months later.
